Cauda Equina Syndrome
Cauda equina syndrome is an emergency situation where the nerves in the
lower spine are compressed and not working properly. Patients with cauda
equina syndrome may require emergency surgery for treatment.

A spine fusion is a surgery that is performed to link together segments
of the spinal column. These segments, or vertebrae, are individual bones
that stacked together become the backbone. In spine fusion surgery, the
vertebrae are linked together, or fused, so that motion cannot occur between
the individual vertebrae.

the spinal canal. A herniated disc can cause pressure on the spinal nerves,
the discectomy relieves that pressure. Endoscopic microdiscectomy is a
similar procedure done through small incisions.

IDET, or Intradiscal Electrothermal Therapy, is a procedure that is being
